Annual General Meeting(2019-2020) INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY & St. John Ambulance (INDIA)



This is special year as Indian Red Cross completes 100 years. It is an incredible achievement. Innumerable lives have been saved and quality of life of so many people has been improved with our interventions in these 100 years.

Today, Annual General Meeting of Indian Red Cross Society and St. John Ambulance was held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Dr. Harsh Vardhan Ji, Minister of Health and Family Welfare.

We are happy to share that our Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch has been awarded for the year 2019-2020, as the best branch among all the Red Cross State / UT branches of India. We are also awarded as Best Blood Centre for the Year 2019-20.

Dr. Bhavesh Archarya, Chairman of Gujarat Red Cross was awarded with Gold Medal for his devoted services rendered to the humanitarian cause of the Red Cross.



The felicitation programme was held at Gujarat Red Cross Headquarters, Ahmedabad on 5th November 2020, at 11.00 a.m., which was chaired by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat – Shri Nitinbhai Patel, who is also the Vice-President of Gujarat Red Cross.

 

Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch is the proud recipient of the following National Level Awards:

 

Ø  Gujarat State Red Cross Branch has been declared as the BEST STATE RED CROSS BRANCH in the whole Country for the year 2019-20.

 

Ø  Chairman of IRCS, Gujarat State Branch - Dr. Bhavesh Acharya was declared as the winner of Red Cross Gold Medal for the year 2016-17.

 

Ø  Gujarat Red Cross was declared as the winner of Blood Donation Shield for Collection of highest number of Voluntary Blood units for the year 2018-19.

 

Ø  IRCS, Ahmedabad District Branch run Blood Centre has been declared as one of the Best Blood Centers in the whole Country for the year 2019-20.   

 

At the said function Office-Bearers of Gujarat Red Cross – Dr. Bhavesh Acharya – Chairman, Shri Sumit Thakkar – Vice Chairman, Dr. Mukesh Jagiwala – Hon. Treasurer, Dr. Prakash Parmar – General Secretary and in-charge of 16 Red Cross Blood Banks in Gujarat were felicitated by the worthy hands of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat – Shri Nitinbhai Patel. Besides State Red Cross Branch Managing Committee and Executive Committee Members, Office-Bearers of various Red Cross District and Taluka Branches also attended the function and they also felicitated the State Red Cross team.

 

Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare - Shri Nitinbhai Patel - appreciated the multifarious activities carried out by Gujarat State Red Cross Branch and hoped that Gujarat Red Cross continue to render its Humanitarian Services still to more and more people and in better manner.
